A few days passed, and Will’s wounds became minor enough for him to resume pirate work. Capt. Deep’s wounds also healed, and she could resume her daily activities.
As the sun began to set, Capt. Deep and Will entered her room. “Sleep tight, we’re waking up early tomorrow.”
“Why are we doing that Rina?” He asked, getting comfortable on the couch.
“We’re waking up very early because I want to clean out this room. Maybe rearrange the place. I’ll need your help, Will, and Dojer and Charlie are helping as well.”
“Well, that sounds fine with me, but Rina…” Will said. “I’ve been thinking about my father lately, and I’m worried about him. You see, I’m sure he’s worried about me, ever since he found you in my room and talking with me.”
“Yes, well, I’m sure he still thinks you’re a fisherman or a merchant making an honest living obeying the law.” Capt. Deep assured.
“You’re right!” Will smiled. “I’m sure I’m worried about nothing.”
“Good now, get some sleep, before my bird wakes us.” Capt. Deep said.
But as they slept, they didn’t know how close their next problem was, and it was coming fast.
