Day-55: Male Pride
Ya the title says it all , yesturday my girlfriend called me up and and asked for my help. I was ok what kinda help? and she said to move something and her dad need your help because his wrist isn't what it used to be after an accendent with an animal almost taking his hand off. Anyways I said ok and we drove out to North Vancouver and they bought this lizard tank that was 6 feet in length and weiged at 300+ pounds it was nuts! we tried so hard to lift it and made it to the door and this time my arms were just screaming as I started to slip. I started to move to rest on step and his dad lost grip and it tipped! I was AH CRAP!!!!! and I tried to catch it but fail.... it landed on his right hand instanly breaking his index and middle finger the sound of the bones just echoed...I tried to get it off his hand and in effect it crushed my ledt hand but mostly my middle finger severaly bruising it. Now my girlfriend he tried to get me to sit down and put ice on it but I said no. So got up and tried to give her dad a bag too but he refused and.... I put down the bloody bag and see if I could move it once more hurting my hand even more and my girl just flipped at me and I mean flipped "you and your damn male pride! you will go through hell and back before asking for help!" of course I tried to settle her down reasuring her I was fine. By this time she was almost in tears and I can't stand when she cries it weakens me so much I don't wanna make her cry....ever.... I dunno why I did it I just wanted to show everyone I was strong but now her father has 2 broken finger and I have serverly bruised middle finger and ring finger...I was foolish....
