I found my 7th grade poetry book that I had to do for an assignment. This is only one of a couple. [I didn't really know how to do poetry without making everything rhyme, so yeah. That explains the "little kid" writing.]

You started out as a tiny drop being formed way up high.
You drifted over mountains, plains, and all across the sky.
I looked up at the atmosphere, and the clouds hid the sun.
Then before my very eyes, something had begun.
You softly fell down to earth.
You were different from all the rest!
My arms sprang up to catch you, so I made my hands a nest.
You landed in my palm and were safe in my grip,
But when my hands unfolded,
you turned into a drip.
