Part Two~

The calmness that had sept in earlier had completely disapated, fear replacing it. This wasn't going according to plan, everything was wrong. My breaths were short, signifing I was getting tired. I pushed it aside, making my legs go as fast as Knuckles were. His hand was still grasped tightly to my arm, pulling me along the darkened corridor. Everything surround the two of us as we rushed along them was metal. The walls, doors, and even the floors were metalic. And cold. There weren't any lights in the halls, only inside of the rooms. Knuckles and I made a sharp turn down the hallway, and I noticed how heavy is breathing was. I blinked a few times, before noticing the light at the end of the hall that got closer as we aproached it. "Wait a minute..." I thought, frowining. "Theres not any light in here!" I skidded to a stop, a small jerk from Knuckles.
"What is it, Raine?!" He asked, wondering why i had stopped. The light was still getting closer, but I didn't answer. I pointed and took off in the opposite direction. Knuckles saw what I was talking about, and he follwed me around the same corner we had just passed. Quickly out of the corner of my eye, I saw a door. I ran towards it, yanking it open. To my surprise, no one was in it. I sighed a second before running into it, Knuckles right behind me. I slid into the corner, trying to silence my breathing. Knuckles leaned against the metal door, looking around. It was just a small closet, but it would do until the gaurds passed by.
