On my sophomore year at college, the theater department at my school got invited to compete at the theater festival somewhere in Massachusetts--I can't remember the name of the city. rolleyes I was really excited to go there, but I wasn't looking forward to sharing a room with Justine and Jess Connolly. One, I didn't like Justine; she was too, "Look at me, look at me. I've got big boobs and you don't." And two, I didn't know Jess Connolly very well, except that she used to date Stephen or Steven, not sure how his name is spelled. rolleyes So, Jess and Steve are one class above me, so basically they were juniors by that time. Apparently, they used to date ever since their freshman year and then on their sophomore year, Steve broke up with Jess to be with Joanie. eek Drama, I know.
And here's the fun part: the very first day all Jess Connolly talked about was Stephen. "Oh, my god. I do not miss him at all. Did you see what he was wearing? Who wears that anyway? He's such an a*****e. He used to make me talk dirty to him. Oh, my god, he loved it when I dirty-talked to him. He used to call me fat so I wouldn't wear this kind of stuff. I actually became bulimic for a while because of him. So, yeah. I don't miss him at all."
Then, on that very same night after, "I don't miss him at all!" she got drunk and what did she say? "Boo-hoo! I miss Stephen. He's such a jerk! Why do I still love him? I just don't understand how someone can go loving someone else for two years to completely hating that person." eek
...
I feel bad for Jess Connolly. I really do. And I can't help it that quote has totally inspired me to write a story of my own. biggrin That quote speaks to my soul! Why did Stephen or Steven leave Jess for Joanie? Sure, Joanie's prettier, but...they were meant to be! Whenever I saw Jess and Steve together, they meshed! They were my favorite couple. And I'm with Jess: how can you go from loving someone for two years to completely hating that person? confused
