Face it: your life is a series of choices. From the instant you wake up in the morning until the moment you nod off to sleep at night, you make constant decisions--decisions about things you do, decisions about the words you speak, and even decisions about the things you choose to think about.
As a believer who has been transformed by the extreme love of Jesus, you have every reason to make wise choices. But sometimes, when the daily grind threatens to grind you up, you may make choices that are displeasing to God. When you do, you'll pay a price because you'll forfeit the happiness and the peace that might otherwise have been yours.
So, as you pause to consider the kind of Christian you are--and the kind of Christian you want to become--ask yourself whether you're sitting on the fence or standing in the light. And then, if you sincerely want to follow in the footsteps of the One from Galilee, make choices that are pleasing to Him. He deserves no less... and neither, for that matter, do you.
Thoughts For Today.
God is voting for us all the time. Satin is voting against us all the time. The way we vote carries the election.
Commitment to God on Easter, Christmas, or even every Sunday is not enough. We must choose this day--and every day--whom we will serve.
A Tip For Today.
First you make choices... And before you know it, your choices will make you. So choose wisely.
A Prayer For Today.
Lord, help me to make choices that are pleasing to You. Help me to be honest, patient, and kind. And above all, help me to follow the teachings of Jesus, not just today, but every day. Amen.
A Verse For Today.
I am offering you life or death, blessings or curses. Now, choose life!... To choose life is to love the Lord your God, obey Him, and stay close to Him.
Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NCV
