*Sane looked at the waterfall biting his lip. He wasn't about to cry, he had learned over his life to fight back tears. Instead he shook his head, he had managed once again to break a girl heart. But he shook this tought out of his head and started on his way back to the city. He would leave tonight as to not cause her anymore heart break.* Curse my past... *Sane continues to walk but stops and sighs, he really was confused, his heart now torn apart.*
::Kari ran up the hills and up to the empty Hall. She rushed through the corridors and burst into the private garden out back. It was all overgrown from lack of care. She collapsed at the foot of a reflecting pool, tears streaming down her face. She cried for a long time, hating the choice she had been forced to make. When she managed to collect herself and bring her sobs to a cease, she looked at her refelction in the water. She could see her eyes were broken, the weakness of her past brought to life once again::
*Sane slowly walked bakc to the room where he and Kari had slept in together. He looked around for his things and than quickly piled all the close he was given into a stack on a chair. He could not bring himself to take them. He walked up to the door of the room opened it and stepped smack into Lord Celdir. (think that was his name )*
Lord Celdir: Are you off somewhere Sane?
*Sane looks at thr ground and then back at Celdir.*
Sane: Yes... I must be going... I have a duty to fulfill to my family.
*Celdir nodded.*
Celdir: I understand... Does Kari know?
*Sane nods*
::Tears still glistened on her cheeks, but no more would fall. Remeli appeared at Kari's side, kneeling next to her:: Valkrie... what is it? What's wrong?
::She looked to the woman that had practically become her sister and forced herself to speak:: Sane... he has to leave... ::She turned her eyes back to the pool:: And I cannot go with him... I must find my father... ::she looked desperately back to Remeli:: And my place is here. This is my home. ::The Lady of Velnarre was silent for a long moment, so Kari pressed on desperately:: Please say something, Remi... Please tell me what I should do...
::The woman's response was simple. She smiled and touched Kari's cheek:: You must follow your heart, Val...
Kari: And if my heart is torn?
::Remeli's smile faded, but her voice stayed strong:: Then you must rely on your insticts...
*Celdir smirks and looks at Sane with a cold glance.*
Celdir: How did she take it Sane?
Sane: She... Well... *he shakes his head* Not too good.
*Celdir nods and rests his hand on Sane's shoulder.*
Celdir: Then like you are doign I too believe it is best for you to leave tonight.
*Sane nods and alks towards the door. Celdir stops Sane before he exits into the corridor.*
Celdir: Not taking you clothes?
*Sane shakes his head*
Sane: No they're not my clothes... They are yours and I can not bring myself to take them.
Celdir: They are a gift from me to you...
*He takes the clothes and gives them to Sane who bows his head and than walks down the corridor.*
Celdir: Fool... I knew he would break her heart.
::Remeli left Kari to be alone. The half-Elf maiden knelt before the reflecting pool still, her gaze drifting over the shadow of the moon in the water. She began to sing softly, a song that she had learned long ago. When she was a child, she had heard an Elf woman singing it as she knelt on her dead husband's grave. That same pain now filled Kari's heart as she sang::
Hotono nai mahidu kazewa tauda akadui...
Tsukoshi weina tutso yuni luna tsokudei soundo...
Nai keinami hopoundoi nei shi donou akodo hade hyoun meni nudo...
*Sane walks down the corridor and stands outside the main building. He takes a sigh. He should find Kari and bid goodbye to her before he leaves. Yet he didn't want her to see the pain in his eyes and he didn't want to see pain in hers. He walks down the steps and sees his horse waiting for him.* "Celdir... must have been him... No one else, knows I'm leaving tonight."
::Kari falls silent beneath the moon. Her gaze falls and she lowers her head. After a long moment, she stands and leaves the garden, closing the door and locking it behind her. She tucks the rusted key beneath a large stone on the path to the locked door and moves off down the corridor. She debated whether or not she should go find Sane. She sighed and shook her head. No, she would see him off in the morning. She just couldn't face him tonight::
*Sane pats his horse on the head and looks at the ground.* "Maybe it woudl be better if I left in the Morning... No... Tonight is the best way... *Sane climbs ontop of his horse and takes one last look at the city. Then he kicks his horse into a trot and leaves the city heading North East towards the sea coast where his village lay. He was goign there to visit before he moved on with his quest.*
::Kari returned to her quarters, closing the large doors shut behind her. She moved to the balcony, closing the doors there as well. Sinking into her bed, she stared at the ceiling for hours, tears dripping down her cheeks, before she passed out from exhaustion::
*Sane moved slowly he was in no rush it was night time so he should be careful moving through woods as bandits pillage most that dared to step past the border of the woods. Many ventured in but few came out, the bandits spared none.*
"Wow... It's quite here... I should keep to the shadows and keep to the brush as to not be spotted by an unwanted foe."
::Remeli sat in her chambers, deep in thought. Suddenly, the door opened quietly and Celdir stepped in. She turned to him. Their eyes met a moment and they paused before Remeli spoke softly:: ...It's just like we feared...
::He sighed, crossing the floor and moving before her, pulling her gently to her feet:: I know....but it is for the best...
::The lady of Velnarre shook her head sadly:: ...She loved him so much...
::He placed a gentle hand on her cheek:: And he loved her, my heart. I could see the pain in his eyes... The choice was a difficult one, but they both knew what had to be done...
::Remi lowered her eyes:: ...Poor Val...
*Sane's horse moved on slowly making his way through the brush Sane making him stay in the shadows of the forest. Once it ws light he could make his way into a clearing and settle down eat some food that had been packed for him on the horse. Sane turned aroudn suddenly hoping to see Kari behind his. Yet she wasn't he shook his head and moved along.*
"I have to forget her... There's no use of me thinking about her. She has her duty... I have mine. I must move on... Even if it does pain my heart." He whispers to himself as he trudges on he looks around seeing that he was now crossing into the bandit territories he drew a dagger. He smiled and waited silently as the horse moved on by itself knowing the way all too well.
