They had made it to the edge of the destroyed town. Ceru was shocked when he saw all the damage that had been done. "I... had once lived here with Cid.... It saddens me to see this place in this condition..." He sighed and they continued on through town. The footprints of Deddo could be seen in the dust the destruction had left. They slowly walked through town watching for any signs of movement but it seemed that this time nothing was waiting to ambush them. They soon reached Cid's old shop which was still standing for the most part. "The forge is still usable at the very least...." They walked in and looked around. Ellie was sleeping on the floor in the corner but Miko was no where to be seen. Gale walked over to her and kneeled next to her. "Ellie.... wake up." She opened her eyes and looked up at him. "GALE!" He stood up. She quickly got to her feet and hugged onto him. "I thought that I was going to lose you too...." "What do you mean?!" "Miko.... she....." Ellie pointed to the secret door to the room Cid had made. Gale lifted up the hatch and jumped down. In front of him was Miko. She lay on her back and was covered in blood. Gale turned away and jumped back up into the main room. "What happened...." Ellie looked down. "We were ambushed..... it was the shadows again..... They wouldn't stay down.... We ran for town and when we got to the shop Miko lit a piece of wood on fire.... the light seemed to hurt them so she fought them off... but their numbers were to much and they pushed her back into the secret room..... When all of the noise had stopped we found her down there...." Gale sighed. "And Keiko?" "She said she had some supplies to collect and that she would be back....." Ceru stepped forward. "Gale... we must begin... Plot your revenge AFTER we actually stand a chance..." Gale nodded. Cid and Ceru got the forge working again and Ceru opened one of the sacks. "Okay Cid, Zane, Koujin, and Ellie. What weapons do you prefer?" Cid laughed. "I'll take my hammer back. I know you have it." Ceru laughed and pulled a large Warhammer out of the sack. It had crystal spikes on each end of it and had markings carved into the top and sides. The shaft was make of black crystal and the metal hammer head was black and made of the metal Gale used. "Ah its good to have Befara back." Ellie looked into the bag and picked out a set of scimitars made out of crystals. The blades were black but the handle and guard were blood red. "Hebun and Heru." Ellie nodded. Koujin pulled out a halberd with a blade of crystal and shaft of metal. Attached to where the two met was a large amount of red fur. The rest was black. Ceru laughed as he looked to Zane. "I know what you want." "Well?" Ceru revealed two scythes which were half the length of Zane's. They were made purely of the crystals and had markings on every inch of them. The blade and shaft were black but the carvings were colored in red. "Now can you start teaching me.........." Ceru nodded. "I want you all to begin training with your new weapons." They nodded and split into groups and began fighting each other. Ceru smiled and he and Gale started removing some of the tools and crystals from one of the other sacks and began working with them.
