Zane and Ellie were waiting back in the clearing. As the others appeared they were breathing heavily and were beginning to realize how much energy their new abilities were taking to perform. Gale leaned up against a tree and looked around. All that was left of the beast was a pool of blood that was draining into the water. "We should get back...." Zane and Ellie were confused but they kept silent and followed Gale and the others as they slowly left the clearing and began their walk back to the town. Gale yawned as they reached the edge of town. Their house was in sight now and they all needed the sleep. They walked on toward the house and noticed that the town was silent, almost peaceful. Gale shrugged and walked to the door. It swung open and nearly hit his head but he quickly jumped back to dodge it. There in the doorway stood Lynn. Cid sighed. "Not now... We are all tired...." She glared. "And did you bring back any money?!" Gale looked at her. "Move.... I'm not in the mood for your greed..." He pushed by her and walked inside. The others followed and they all went toward their rooms. Gale took everyone's weapons to the store room and closed the door as he came back out. He sat in his chair and rested his head and propped his feet up on his desk. Within moments he was asleep.
The town was on fire and all its people had been killed and lay in puddles of blood. Gale's eyes searched the town for his friends. He saw his house being burned. He ran for it but it collasped before him. Gale stepped back and looked around the town in horror. At the top of a church stood a man with orange eyes that were lit up by the flames. Without thinking Gale shot after him but the man disappeared. Gale searched the entire town but nothing remained. He sat in the middle of town and watched as the buildings began to collaspe and turn completely to ash. As the fire died off he realized that there was another person standing over him. He looked up with blank eyes and say a young girl. "Hm... I expected better from you of all people Gale..." The girl shook her head and smiled. Gale silently stared up at her. "Who... are you?" She laughed. "Don't recognize me huh? Well thats no surprise. It has been a while and I have grown..." Gale continued his blank gaze and slowly began to realize who she was. "M-Miko? But you died?!" She nodded. "Yes but I live on in your memories and I've been granted the power to show you the future within your dreams." Gale's eyes turned to normal. "This is just a dream?!" Miko nodded again. "Ofcourse silly. I know you wouldn't really let your friends die if you had a choice in the matter." Gale sighed. "But I let you die." She shook her head. "No... It wasn't your fault and besides I think I like this better than having to walk around so much." She was still smiling down at her older brother who was now smiling back. Gale stood up and looked down at her. "Heh I'm still taller than you..." Gale remembered how they had always argued over who was taller when they were living with her parents. For their younger years Miko was always slightly ahead of him but once they got older Gale was always towering over his little sister. Miko sighed. "You and your damn height...." She was still smiling. Gale looked around. "So this is suppose to be the future?" She nodded. "Yes if you don't prevent it. Beware the one of burning eyes." She began to fade. "Miko!? Whats..." She hugged him. "My time is up. I have to go. I'll be here when you next dream." She disappeared.
Gale shot forward. He was wide awake and he realized he had slept through the entire night and had woken up early in the morning. He sighed and went toward the kitchen. He saw Lynn there cooking breakfast like she had done before their multiple off days. Gale didn't say anything. He simply backed out of the kitchen and went to check on Sophie.
