"Beware the one of burning eyes" . . . Those words burned into Gale's mind for days after the dream. The next few days were simple. Small jobs with small pay outs but still something to do. No one complained after their last big job. Lynn stomped about, saying not a word to any of them after her confrontation with Gale. Today though... she decided to go out. She took a large amount of their money and walked out into town while the others slept. The sky was tinted a pale orange as she walked into the first shop but she hadn't noticed the time when she left. The color was wrong.
Gale sat up in his bed and yawned. Sophie was curled up next to him, sleeping peacefully and he could tell that none of the others had woken up yet. He glanced around the room. "Gale... the town..." The voice was Miko's and Gale noticed immediately. "Miko..? What.. when?!" "Go now, Gale... you have to save everyone..." Gale was in the store room seconds later, grabbing his weapons.
Lynn's scream rang throughout the town. Within the shop stood two seven foot tall demons. Each held a lifeless person from the town. Lynn backed away slowly, tears streaming down her face. The demons spun around at the sound of her scream and started towards her. She backed into a wall and sunk to the floor. "Someone help!!!" She closed her eyes tight but instead of the cold grip of death she felt a quick gust of air. Xin and Gale had dashed into the room and knocked the demons back. With their swords drawn they charged in at the two beasts.
