Gale and Zane were fighting with the large beast in the Darkening Shiver. Gale's right arm was bleeding and Zane's forehead had a small cut on it. Gale's eyes began to glow as he charged at the beast again. It laughed and jumped back toward the water. Gale stopped and stood still. "Stay away from the water.... He uses it to keep his prey from moving." Zane nodded. They remained still for a moment before the beast lunged at Zane. Gale shot at the beast from the side and drew back to punch it. Zane reared his fist back as well. Xin burst from the woods and came down on the beast's head with his foot as Gale and Zane landed their punches. It staggered. "I was saved on that day.... A Demon approached me.... He offered me a way to survive.. but at the same time he cursed me to remain within this nightmarish place..... I have to relive the sight of my family dying everyday...." Gale laughed. "You were killing innocent people.... We did what we had to." The beast growled. "We wanted to rid the forest of those foolish humans that were destroying it." Zane laughed. "Our village took care of the forest. We only took what we needed to live and we gave back twice what we took..." Xin nodded. "Yet all you and your clan wanted was to gorge yourselves on human flesh.." The beast roared. "LIES!! My family meant to help the forest!" A voice rang out in the Darkening Shiver. "You had both been given a right to live in that forest. But the greed of this beasts clan drove both parties to their end. Yet now I have been asked to return.... And I must teach you of your ancestors" A ghostly figure appeared and was looking at Gale and his brothers. A light engulfed the Shiver. When Gale looked around he noticed Zane was missing and Cid and Sophie had taken his place. "Gale!!" Sophie ran to him and hugged onto him. Gale smiled. "Whats happening? How did you get here?" Sophie looked up at him. "We had just run into the clearing.. We were engulfed this light and then..." She looked around. "Gale whats happening... And where are Zane and Ellie?" Gale shrugged. The ghostly figure began to speak again. "In the days where humans had constantly fought against each other for the possession of land, A group of four Celestial Demons watched over the corrupted world. They began to realize that the humans needed to be stopped... but thought it bad to show themselves to the world... They instead erased the world of humanity... With the planet free of corruption they had hoped to start a new.... They rebegan human lives and blessed four families with they Alignments. Gaenaal the Guardian of Twilight, Maiana the Angel of Light, Harook the Prince of Darkness, and Zalient the Reaper of Azure." Gale stepped forward. "Our families?" "Originally the families that inheirted Azure and Twilight were seperate. But over the years the Celestial Demons realized that the two had mixed. The darkness was nearly melded into them as well... But the Alignment grew before it could...." Gale looked at Xin and Cid looked at Gale. "Does that mean... that WE are the ones to inherit those Alignments?" The ghostly figure nodded. "And her family has passed on the Light... completely untouched for all these years.... Until... Now..." The figure smiled. Sophie clung to Gale's side. "But.. how can this be? And how is it possible that we would all meet up?" The figure laughed. "It is the work of the Celestial Demons.... Your ancestors.." Gale sighed. "So... is that the reason behind the aura?" The figure nodded. "And behind the thing that happened back in the forest?" He nodded again.
