The sun began to peak over the horizon. At the house Sophie had woken up early and made breakfast. Yet when she went to wake Gale up she found his bed empty. She quickly woke Ellie and Cid up. "Where is Gale!?" They both shrugged. "He never came into the room.... I thought... he was with you..." Sophie blushed for a moment but quickly shook it off. "Well I thought I heard him walk toward his room when I was going to sleep...." Cid sighed. "Zane and Xin....." Ellie looked at him confused. "What do you mean Cid?" Sophie stepped back. "He went to help his brother... didn't he...." Cid coughed. "Yeah... I think so... Gale wouldn't even let that traitor suffer..... Specially if he knew that the Demon after Xin would come here..." Ellie was still confused. "How do you know so much?!" Cid laughed. "Good ears....." Cid got his and Ellie's weapons. "Lets go... They will be needing our help..." Sophie was worried. "I hope he is okay..." Cid and the others ran out of the house and off into the forest. They found the foot prints Gale and the others left. "This way...." Ellie and Sophie followed behind Cid. "Wait... Cid whose tracks are those?" She pointed down at a set of tracks that came from the bushes surrounding the path they were on. "Not good......" The Demons Gale and Sophie had encountered before dropped from the trees. "Ohhh if it isn't the Demon Hunters.... Looking for your friends?" The Demons laughed. "Too bad.... They are preoccupied... And you have business with us...." The Demons had recruited several more to fight with them this time. They lunged in at the trio. Sophie's eyes began glowing white. "Wha... whats happening!?" She heard a word ring out in her mind. She knew it was something like her elements. "L-Luminate!" A ring of swords made of pure light formed around the trio. The Demons stopped in their tracks. "Nice light show girl... but we aren't going to just run into those things...." She sighed and shook her head. The swords shot forward and struck each of the Demons except for their leader. "What kind of Demon blood is that?!" Sophie was shocked. "De..Demon blood?" Cid bashed the Demons skull into a tree with his hammer. "Dont worry about it.... This is pretty normal for our 'famliy'" Sophie shook her head and the glow faded. "Lets go... Gale needs us..." Cid and Ellie nodded and they ran toward the mountain ahead.
