The fight lasted through most of the day but soon they were both out of energy. They were each on one knee and holding themselves up with their weapons. "You two done yet?" Cid sighed and waited for Gale to respond. Gale sighed and nodded. "We should probably get going.... the mountain is a days walk away... then we have to climb to its peak...." The others nodded and they began walking away from the shop. They had left the packs there and carried only their weapons. They had no idea of the dangers that were at the top of the mountain. They walked until the next morning when they had finally reached the base of the mountain. The spot where Miko and Gale had begun their search for Ellie not long before. Gale sighed and kept on moving but the others soon started to slow down. "Gale maybe we should rest for a while. We arent use to not having sleep...." He looked back to see that even Zane and Koujin had fallen behind. "Alright. The cave I cleared with Miko is just ahead. I'll go check it out. You guys follow when you have the energy." Ellie sighed and followed him up. He reached the cave long before her and found it empty. "Gale... you should get some rest as well you know..." "I will... I just.. don't wanna lose you like I lost Miko. I want to make sure things will be safe for you and the others when we stop to rest like this." She looked around. "You've killed them all... You are starting to worry me... Please rest. We can take care of ourselves you know." He nodded and sat down in the far corner of the cave. Ellie sat next to him and watched as he fell asleep. The others arrived soon and started a fire. Before long they had all fallen asleep around the warmth of the fire.
"It appears as if they have finally begun to come my way. This is good.... they are right on time." Blood red eyes opened up within the darkness. "Go my pet.... rally your minions and destroy those fools." The eyes blinked and moved out of the dark room. "All according to plan...."
