Gale kept up his assault on the mysterious man. The man continued blocking and swung when he found a chance but Gale quickly blocked it and went back on the assault.
Koujin and Ellie had caught their balance and ran back at Kanu. Koujin jumped in the air and landed behind him. Kanu laughed as Ellie and Koujin attacked from both sides. Kanu blocked their weapons and continued laughing. "You think that I'm going to fall for that?!" He kicked Koujin and tripped Ellie. "Too bad.. I wish this would have lasted longer....." He raised his blade above Ellie. "Oh well. There are still more of you..." He swung down but Koujin jumped in the way and was slashed across the back. Koujin feel to his knees bleeding heavily. Ellie screamed and caught everyones attention. Gale turned to see his brother sway back and forth and began running towards Kanu. As Gale got closer an arrow shot past him and struck Kanu in the chest. "K..Keiko?!" Kanu stumbled backwards and fell on his back. "But she... I can't believe..... she..." He smiled and passed on. Keiko was now standing with her bow in hand. Tears rolled down her face. "I should have taken him on by myself..... I'm sorry Gale..." Gale let his swords drop as he watched Koujin fall to the ground. Gale's eyes which were once blue began to turn red and glow. "First Miko... and now Koujin...." He turned and started walking towards Ceru. "I'm having to watch my family crumble..... the family I have fought so hard to hold together..." He clenched his fists. "Gale.... I'm sorry... I just..." Gale walked up to Ceru and punched him in the face. "ITS YOUR FAULT!!" Gale hit him again. "Gale...." Cid and Zane stepped back. "You shouldn't have left us back then!! We might have stayed together... as a family.... But you ruined that!!" Gale spun and kicked Ceru in the gut and let him drop to his knees. "Gale... I had to..." Gale's eyes began to glow a darker red. "It's too late for excuses father!" His voice had gotten harsh and demented. "Gale?" Gale brought his fist back above Ceru's head. "GALE NO!!" Cid grabbed Gale and pulled him back. Gale began to struggle but Zane helped hold him down. "Leave here Ceru.... I won't hold him for long...." Ceru slowly rose to his feet. "I'm sorry..." Ceru took off running down the mountain. Gale calmed down but his eyes continued to glow. "Let me go... I have unfinished business..." They let him go and watched as he walked to his swords. "Don't let it consume you brother...." Gale nodded and picked up his swords.
