I asked you how you felt,
and did not get a reply,
the gambling cards were delt,
either you lived or you died.
Later that night I found you,
very alive indeed,
looked into your eyes and looked straight through,
your soul had been freed,
And now as I woller,
in my guilt and sorrowy past,
I wish not to scream and holler,
but to make life seem not as fast.
I screamed to her for help,
but only she stood,
I screamed so loud the dog yelped,
I really wish she would.
Crying softer than the fingers,
that smoothly glided across your face,
and the thought of you still lingers,
the happyness never can be replaced.
I asked you if you loved me,
if I could fly with you in romance,
but never will you see me,
no matter how much I try to dance.
My heart fled o'er the horizon,
and met a young girl named Susan,
together we hearded bison,
never felt like we were losin'.
I asked her why she came here,
from such a far place before,
her answer was so quick and sheer,
she had risen from the shore.
Her mind so filled with beauty,
and her soul just as good,
her hair waved so nice and breezy,
just as a person should.
When i looked into her eyes,
I did not find a heart,
she said it left in one of the tides,
and eversince they've been apart.
I searced and searched for her heart,
so I could be in it too,
It held so many wonderful smarts,
leaving her with nothing to do.
I never found the heart,
until one day I said Alas,
the missing piece that was long apart,
was in the looking glass.
I opened my soul to reveal,
her mighty heart again,
I packed it with a seal,
for my long forgotten friend.
We go every where together,
and never lose track,
we are glorious forever,
such a beautiful compact.
