The End
"Twicemore the angels dance,
Flowing through their eternal waltz.
Watching from sanctuary,
I ask myself...
Do they? Do they know?
Do they know the end?
The ending which everyone
anticipates and fears...
The final chapters of
the book we call life.
For the sake of knowledge,
I walk away from safety
and course towards purgatory.
Apprehension starting to fill me.
Will the angels answer my question
or taunt me for my ignorance?
Will they appease my curiosity
or leave me as ignorant as before?
Walking towards the white wings
feels like an eternity.
As if trying made no difference
in the distance bound.
Eventually...I'm too tired to move
and I can't go any farther.
My legs stagger and collapse
with exhaustion and unfulfillment.
Turning towards the traveled path
I realize that I can't go back.
The path of lost sanctuary
becoming completely black.
With my faint moments of reality
before I drift off into
the land of Morpheus
I ask myself...
Where is my closure?
Where has it gone?
Maybe I don't know it
but maybe I have won.
