"You two have been slacking off again haven't you?! Running around with this little girl." Gale sighed. "She is the same age as me and Ellie... and WE have been out working.... Making the money that keeps you and your daughter alive...." She paused. "She was worried about you...." Cid smiled. "We are fine. These little Demons won't give us any trouble.... besides Sophie came with us today..." The woman looked at Sophie. "Lemme guess... she is gonna be staying with us now right?" Gale sighed. "I don't like the idea.... but she is getting kicked out and I've not got a choice...." "Lenn..... give the kid a break...." Gale walked off towards his room. Lenn sighed. "My daughter is always so worried that he won't come back.... Like Miko..... She doesn't wanna lose her hero." Cid smiled. "Lenn... Gale won't be getting hurt as long as me Ellie and Sophie are with him." Sophie and Ellie nodded. "Besides.... I can't lose my only remaining brother...." Cid looked at the clock. "Its almost 10.... we should get to work on those remaining marks...." Gale came back from his room wearing a necklace chain. "Lets go... time to earn so cash...." Sophie Cid and Ellie nodded. Ellie went to the store room and came back with her scimitar and Cid's hammer. "You forgot this..." Cid laughed. "Thats what happens when you wake me up so early...." They headed for the door. "Gale!" Gale turned to see the little girl who was now 12. "Are you going out again?" Gale nodded. "Here...." She held out a small seven pointed star. Four of the points were red and three were black. He took it and looked it over. "You can put it on your necklace..." He smiled. "Thank you." He attached it to his chain and they continued to walk out of the building. Lenn and her daughter waved to them as they left. Outside of town they decided to split up. "Ellie and I will go and take care of the western marks..." Cid sighed. "That means me and Sophie will take the eastern?" Gale nodded. Sophie opened her mouth to protest but Gale and Ellie were already running west. "Heh don't be offended... He is just against getting attached to people..." She sighed. "I know...."
