The people began to crown around Gale. "Where are our daughters?!" Gale sighed and shook his head. "The demon killed them.... Moments before I reached his cave..." One of the mothers fell to her knees and began to cry. A father stepped forward. "This is your fault!!" Cid and Ellie emerged from the house. "Whats going on here?!" The people began yelling. "This b*****d let our children die!!" "She was all we had!!" "You should have worked harder!" "You let us down!!" Gale simply sighed. Ellie and Cid pushed through the crowd. "Listen to yourselves!! You're blaming someone that has made it safe for children in this town." Gale sighed again. "No Ellie... they are right.... Its my fault... I should have killed him while he was in town... and searched for the cave on my own..... And even worse I put Hanna at risk...." Ellie was speechless. The townspeople on the other hand had kept yelling at him. Cid grew angry. "SHUT THE HELL UP!!" He slammed his hammer into the ground and caused a crater to form in the area knocking all the towns people to their feet. They went silent. "Gale did what he thought was best! Just because you lost your daughters... it doesnt mean Gale is responsible for anything you have accused him of. If it were so important to you then why didn't you get off your asses and find your daughters yourselves?!" Gale was surprised that Cid had defended him like this and the people were surprised that Cid was yelling at them in his defense. Cid and Gale were family but they always disagreed. They rarely stopped fighting or calling each other 'Old Man' and 'Kid' to piss each other off. Gale simply smiled and shook his head. "Cid... its okay... We will take this day off as well... I'm tired anyway..." Gale walked back inside. Cid was surprised at how well Gale was taking the towns peoples foolish accusations. He and Ellie followed Gale inside and left the giant spider leg in the middle of town. People that had woken up to post their messages hesitated but still post them in hopes that the Demon Hunters would still want to help them.
